What Mouse Does olofmeister Use?

olofmeister's mouse history

Three mice, two switches, no return to an old model. The Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2 Black has been in his hand since April 2024, and it is his longest-used mouse.

The longest earlier period belongs to the Logitech G Pro X Superlight Black: 16.2 months (1.3 years), from December 2022 to April 2024.

The ZOWIE EC1-A came first and lasted 2.6 months, from September 2022 to December 2022. After that he stayed with the Superlight line: first the original, then the Superlight 2.

Mousepad

He plays on the SteelSeries QcK Heavy Black, in use since September 2022. That makes it the one constant across all three of his mice.

It is a cloth pad with firm foam and a control-oriented overall glide. Static friction is high and dynamic friction is medium, so the surface resists the first push and then runs more freely once the mouse is moving.

At 6 mm thick and 44.5 × 39.7 cm, it has no stitched edges.

Mouse settings

In CS2 he runs 800 DPI at 1.25 in-game sensitivity, an eDPI of 1000. That works out to 41.6 cm/360: a full turn takes 41.6 cm of mouse travel.

The mouse is set to 2000 Hz, one of the polling rates the Superlight 2 supports. Zoom sensitivity is 1.2 and Windows sensitivity is 6.

800 DPI sits well inside the sensor's 100–32000 range, so the sensor is not working near its limits.

Should you buy olofmeister's mouse?

The Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2 Black is an ambidextrous wireless mouse measuring 12.42 × 6.06 × 3.96 cm and weighing 59 g. It suits players who want a low-weight, symmetrical shape with a moderate footprint.

Three alternatives are in use by other pros:

• Logitech G Pro X Superlight Black (14 pros use it now): the same length, width and height, and 3 g heavier. It has Omron switches and a HERO sensor, against the Superlight 2's LIGHTFORCE Hybrid switches and HERO 25K.
• ZOWIE U2-DW Black (6 pros): 1 g heavier, 0.12 cm shorter, 0.26 cm narrower and 0.16 cm lower. It is the shortest and narrowest of the group, and it polls up to 4000 Hz.
• Razer Viper V2 Pro Black (1 pro): the same 59 g weight, but 0.15 cm longer, 0.08 cm wider and 0.19 cm lower. It is the lowest mouse in the group and also polls up to 4000 Hz.

The trade-off is mostly shape. The Superlight keeps the exact footprint but adds 3 g. The ZOWIE gives up some width and height. The Razer matches the weight but has a longer, flatter body.
