What Mouse Does ropz Use?

The history covers four models and three switches. The current DeathAdder V3 HyperSpeed is the longest period at 26.4 months (2.2 years), and it is still running.

The ZOWIE EC2-CW comes second at 18.2 months (1.5 years). The two shortest stints are the ZOWIE EC2-C at about 24 days and the Razer Deathadder V3 Pro Black at 4.0 months. Both fall between September 2022 and February 2023.

No model appears twice in the table. The move from the EC2-CW to the HyperSpeed in August 2024 ended the 18.2-month period and began the current one.

Mousepad

ropz plays on the VAXEE PA Black, a 47 x 39 cm cloth pad that is 3.5 mm thick. It has a control glide, firm foam, medium static friction and low dynamic friction. The glide difference between the X and Y axes is 11.1%.

The pad history is busier than the mouse history. He has been on the PA Black since March 2026, after a short 0.8-month spell on an unreleased Zowie pad. The longest single stint in the table is the PA Black from October 2024 to March 2026, at 16.8 months.

Along the way he also used the SteelSeries QcK Heavy Black, Zowie G-SR II, Endgame Gear EM-C Square and VAXEE PE Black. The PE Black lasted 2.3 months, from July to October 2024.

Mouse settings

ropz plays CS2 at 400 DPI with an in-game sensitivity of 1.77, which gives an eDPI of 708. That works out to 58.7 cm/360, so a full turn takes a wide sweep of the pad.

That distance fits the pad. The VAXEE PA Black is 47 cm long, and the control-oriented surface suits long, deliberate swipes.

Should you buy ropz's mouse?

The DeathAdder V3 HyperSpeed is a wireless ergonomic mouse. It is 12.2 cm long, 6.4 cm wide and 4.1 cm tall, and it weighs 55 g. It uses Razer Optical switches with a 66g button force and the Razer Focus X 26K sensor. The ergonomic shape suits players who want a shaped, right-handed body rather than a symmetrical one. At 55 g it is a light mouse.

The alternatives trade off in small steps:

• ZOWIE EC2-DW Black (used by 4 pros now): 5 g heavier, 0.1 cm longer, 0.1 cm wider and 0.1 cm taller. It uses Huano switches and the PAW3950 sensor, and polling goes up to 4000.
• Lamzu Thorn V2 (used by 1 pro now): the same weight, but 0.2 cm longer, 0.2 cm wider and 0.1 cm taller. It supports 8000 polling and uses optical switches.
• Fnatic x Lamzu Thorn (used by 1 pro now): 3 g lighter, 0.3 cm shorter, 0.1 cm wider and 0.1 cm taller. It has a 78g button force.

All three are wireless and ergonomic. The choice comes down to weight and a few millimetres of body size.
