What Mouse Does Xyp9x Use?

Xyp9x's mouse history

Three mice in three periods, with two switches in total. He has not gone back to a former model.

The Logitech G Pro X Superlight Red is the longest period: 29.8 months (2.5 years), from October 2022 to April 2025. Before it came a short stint on the VAXEE ZYGEN NP-01S, 1.4 months in September and October 2022.

Since April 2025 he has played the Razer Viper V3 Pro Black. The switch ended the 2.5-year Superlight period.

Mousepad

Since April 2025 he has played on the Razer Gigantus V2. The pad changed in step with the mouse: the Gigantus V2 arrived in the same month as the Viper V3 Pro.

It is a 45 x 40 cm cloth pad, 3 mm thick, with stitched edges. Overall glide is rated medium, and the foam is firm.

The friction figures stand out. Static friction is high and dynamic friction is medium, so the pad takes slightly more force to start a movement than to keep it going.

Mouse settings

In CS2 he runs 400 DPI at 2 in-game sensitivity, an eDPI of 800. That works out to 52.0 cm/360.

The mouse supports 8000 Hz polling, but his listed setting is 1000 Hz. Windows sensitivity is 4 and zoom sensitivity is 1.

Should you buy Xyp9x's mouse?

The Viper V3 Pro Black is a wireless, ambidextrous mouse. It weighs 54 g and measures 12.71 cm long, 6.39 cm wide and 3.99 cm high. It uses the Focus Pro 35K Optical Gen-2 sensor, Razer Optical switches and 8000 Hz polling. It is on sale, so you can buy it.

Its symmetrical shape suits anyone who wants a neutral, low-profile wireless mouse without side-specific contours. Because it is ambidextrous, left-handed users are covered too.

The alternatives mostly trade weight for a small change in shape:

• Razer Viper V4 Pro Black: 5 g lighter, with the same length, width and height. 10 pros are using it now.
• ASUS ROG Harpe Ace 2 Black: 6 g lighter, 0.11 cm shorter and 0.09 cm narrower, with the same height. It is the shortest and narrowest of the mice compared here. 2 pros are using it now.
• ASUS ROG Harpe Ace Extreme: 7 g lighter and 0.09 cm lower, with the same length and width. It is the lightest and lowest of the group. 1 pro is using it now.

All three alternatives are wireless, ambidextrous and support 8000 Hz. If weight is the deciding factor, they all undercut the Viper V3 Pro. If you want the same footprint, the Viper V4 Pro matches it in length, width and height.
