What Mouse Does timthetatman Use?

timthetatman's mouse history

Four mice in the history, three switches between them, four different models. He has not returned to any model he left.

The HyperX Pulsefire Haste is the longest earlier period at 15.0 months (1.2 years). The Razer Viper V3 Pro Black is his longest-used mouse overall, and the period is still open.

Every move after the HyperX stayed within Razer: Viper V2 Pro White (6.2 months), Deathadder V3 Pro Black (10.4 months), then the Viper V3 Pro Black since May 2025. The Viper V2 Pro was the shortest stop at 6.2 months.

Mousepad

The mousepad is the HyperX Fury S Pro, in use since October 2022. That is the same month his Pulsefire Haste period begins, and the pad has stayed through every mouse change since.

It is a cloth surface with a medium overall glide and stitched edges. At 4 mm thick and 42 x 40 cm, it gives the Viper V3 Pro a consistent, medium-speed surface.

Mouse settings

DPI is 800 in all three games: Call of Duty: Warzone, Apex Legends and Fortnite. The in-game values differ per title, but the base speed of the sensor stays the same.

In Apex Legends, 800 DPI at 2.5 in-game gives an eDPI of 2000 and 20.8 cm/360. That is the one game with a ready-made cm/360 value.

The Viper V3 Pro supports 8000 Hz polling, but the polling rate is set to 1000 Hz in all three games.

In Warzone, acceleration, filtering and smoothing are all at 0.00, and the vertical sensitivity multiplier is 1.00. ADS uses Relative mode with custom sensitivity per zoom off. Apex Legends has acceleration off and per-optic ADS sensitivity off.

In Fortnite, X and Y are both 8.0%. Targeting and scope sensitivity are 70.0% each. These are multipliers of the X/Y value, so aiming down sights and scoping are slower than hipfire.

Each alternative trades some weight for near-identical dimensions:

• Razer Viper V4 Pro Black: 5 g lighter, with the same length, width and height. It is in use by 10 pros right now.
• ASUS ROG Harpe Ace 2 Black: 6 g lighter, 0.11 cm shorter and 0.09 cm narrower, with the same height. It is the shortest and narrowest mouse of the four compared. 2 pros use it now.
• ASUS ROG Harpe Ace Extreme: 7 g lighter, the same length and width, and 0.09 cm lower. It is the lightest and lowest of the four compared. 1 pro uses it now.

The Viper V3 Pro is the heaviest of these four. Choose it for its shape and sensor, or move to one of the others if the lowest weight matters most.
