What Mouse Does DrDisRespect Use?

Mousepad

The pad is the Roccat Sense AIMO, listed alongside the Kain 200 AIMO on ROCCAT's DrDisrespect page. It has been paired with the mouse since October 2022.

It is a cloth surface at 35 x 25 cm and 3.5 mm thick, with stitched edges. The stitching stops the border from fraying, and the 35 cm length gives a horizontal sweep on a 110 g mouse.

Mouse settings

The DPI is 400 in all four games: Warzone, Apex Legends, Fortnite and PUBG. The polling rate is 1000 Hz in all four, the highest rate the Kain 200 AIMO lists. The sensor range is 100-16000 DPI in steps of 100, so 400 is a standard step and well below the ceiling.

Apex Legends is the one game with a ready-made distance figure: 3.0 in-game sensitivity gives an eDPI of 1200 and 34.6 cm per 360. That is a full turn in a little under 35 cm of mousepad, and the Sense AIMO is 35 cm long.

Acceleration is off in Warzone and Apex Legends, and Warzone filtering and smoothing are both at 0. Warzone runs the Legacy ADS sensitivity mode with custom sensitivity per zoom off, and Apex Legends has per-optic ADS sensitivity off. Each ADS multiplier therefore applies across scopes rather than being tuned per zoom.

PUBG is the only game with a scope-by-scope ladder. Sensitivity rises from 47 at 2x to 50 at 15x, with universal scope sensitivity disabled.

Should you buy DrDisRespect's mouse?

The Kain 200 AIMO is an ergonomic wireless mouse measuring 12.4 cm long, 6.5 cm wide and 4.3 cm high, and weighing 110 g. It has Titan Click switches and the Owl-Eye optical sensor. The shape suits players who want a full-size, tall right-handed body with some heft behind it. It does not suit anyone chasing a very light mouse.

Wikipedia's entry on the brand notes that ROCCAT was retired as a brand in 2024, which is worth knowing before you shop for one.

The alternatives trade weight for a slightly different body:

• Razer DeathAdder V2: 30 g lighter, 0.36 cm longer, 0.23 cm narrower and 0.2 cm lower. It is wired, with Razer Optical switches, and one pro uses it now.
• ZOWIE EC2-DW Black: 50 g lighter, 0.1 cm shorter, the same width and 0.1 cm lower. It is the closest in footprint and stays wireless, with polling up to 4000 Hz. Four pros use it now.
• Pulsar Xlite V4 Es Medium: 45 g lighter, 0.2 cm shorter, 0.1 cm wider and the same height. It is wireless, with polling up to 8000 Hz. One pro uses it now.

The EC2-DW matches the Kain's width and nearly its length and height, so it is the smallest change in shape. The Xlite V4 Es Medium is the same height and slightly wider. The DeathAdder V2 is the only one that is wired and also narrower and longer.
