What Mouse Does Mongraal Use?

Six periods, five switches, five different models since September 2022. The longest stretch belongs to the Logitech G402: 22.0 months (1.8 years) from November 2022 to September 2024.

The G402 is also the only model he went back to. After a 1.8-month spell on the Glorious Model I 2 Wireless, he returned to it in November 2024 for another 10.1 months. Across both periods that adds up to 32.1 months (2.7 years), by far the most time on any one mouse.

The other stints are shorter. The Logitech G Pro X Superlight Black lasted 2.4 months, and the Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2 Black lasted 3.9 months. The Razer Viper V3 Pro Black, in use since January 2026, is at 9.0 months and is the longest run since he left the G402 in September 2025.

Mousepad

Since November 2025 he has used the Artisan Ninja FX Zero Soft Black, now at 11.3 months. It is a thin, 3 mm cloth pad with stitched edges, and its glide is rated control-oriented.

The friction numbers give that rating some substance: static friction is 41.3 and dynamic friction is 2.51. The glide difference between the X and Y axes is 11.2%.

Before it came the Glorious 3XL, used for 13.9 months from September 2024. Before that came an Inked Gaming Custom Mousepad, used for 24.2 months from September 2022.

Mouse settings

The X and Y sensitivity are identical at 3.2%, on 1600 DPI. Targeting and scope sensitivity share one value, 27.5%, while building and editing both sit at 100%.

The polling rate is set to 1000 Hz, even though the Viper V3 Pro supports 8000 Hz.

Should you buy Mongraal's mouse?

The Razer Viper V3 Pro Black is on sale. It is a wireless, ambidextrous mouse with a symmetrical shape, 12.71 cm long and 6.39 cm wide, at 54 g. Its low profile (3.99 cm high) and the Focus Pro 35K Optical Gen-2 sensor with 8000 Hz polling suit players who want a light, compact wireless mouse. The symmetrical body also works for left-handed users.

The alternatives all keep the same ambidextrous, wireless layout and are lighter:

• Razer Viper V4 Pro White: 5 g lighter, with the same length, width and height. It has the Focus Pro 30K sensor and Razer Optical Gen-4 switches, and 7 pros use it now.
• ASUS ROG Harpe Ace Extreme: 7 g lighter, with the same length and width and a height 0.09 cm lower. It uses the ROG AimPoint sensor.
• ASUS ROG Harpe Ace 2 Black: 6 g lighter, 0.11 cm shorter and 0.09 cm narrower, with the same height.

The trade-off is weight against the exact dimensions of his mouse. The Viper V4 Pro matches the V3 Pro's footprint completely. The two ASUS models change the size slightly, by fractions of a millimetre to about a millimetre, in exchange for the lowest weights here.
