What Mouse Does K1NG Use?

Four mice in four periods, with 3 switches between them. None of the four models was used in a second stretch.

The first two periods run about 14 months combined: the Logitech G Pro X Superlight Black for 13.2 months (1.1 years), then the Razer Viper V2 Pro Black for just 1.3 months. That makes the Viper V2 Pro the shortest stay in the timeline by a wide margin.

The Razer Deathadder V3 Pro Black followed and lasted 15.0 months (1.2 years). The WLMouse BEAST X Black took over in February 2025.

With 19.9 months (1.7 years) and still counting, the BEAST X Black is the longest period in K1NG's history.

Mousepad

K1NG plays on the Artisan Ninja FX Zero Soft Black, a cloth pad with stitched edges. The pad changed in the same month as the mouse, February 2025. Before that he used The Mousepad Company Strata Liquid 03 for 29.5 months.

The Ninja FX Zero Soft is rated control-oriented overall. Its static friction is 41.3 and its dynamic friction 2.51. The glide difference between the X and Y axes is 11.2%. At 3 mm it is a thin pad.

Mouse settings

K1NG runs the mouse at the same 4000 Hz polling rate the BEAST X Black lists in its specs.

X and Y sensitivity are set to the same value, 4.0%. Targeting and scope share one value, 25.0%. Building and editing are both set to 100.0%, so those two modes sit well apart from the base sensitivity.

Should you buy K1NG's mouse?

The WLMouse BEAST X Black is an ambidextrous wireless mouse. It is 12.2 cm long, 6.2 cm wide and 3.7 cm tall, and weighs 40 g. It uses a PMW 3395 sensor, optical switches and a 4000 Hz polling rate. The symmetrical shape suits anyone who wants a neutral outline without side-specific contours.

Three alternatives show what you trade off:

• FinalMouse Starlight Pro: 2 g heavier, same length and height, 0.1 cm wider. It uses the Finalsensor and Kailh GM 8.0 switches at 1000 Hz. One pro uses it now.
• Finalmouse Starlight-12 Hades: 7 g heavier, same length and height, 0.1 cm wider. It has the same Finalsensor, Kailh GM 8.0 switches and 1000 Hz rate. Two pros use it now.
• Pulsar X2 CrazyLight: 1 g lighter, 0.2 cm shorter, 0.1 cm wider and 0.1 cm taller. It has optical switches like the BEAST X Black, plus the XS-1 sensor and an 8000 Hz polling rate. Two pros use it now.

The Pulsar is the closest in weight and switch type and offers the higher polling rate. The two Finalmouse models are heavier and poll at 1000 Hz, but they share the same footprint.
