What Mouse Does Zer0 Use?

Zer0's mouse history

The history covers two models and one switch. Both are Finalmouse Ultralight X mice, differing only in size.

The Medium came first and lasted about 18 days in July 2024. The Large followed in the same month. Neither model has been returned to.

The short Medium period suggests a quick size change within the same line rather than a move to a different design.

Mousepad

The pad is the Artisan Hayate Otsu V2 Mid Wine Red, a stitched-edge cloth pad measuring 49 x 42 cm and 4 mm thick. He has used it since July 2025.

It is the fourth Artisan pad in his history. He went from the Raiden FX Mid (5.4 months) to the FX Hien Soft Black (3.6 months), then to the Hayate Otsu V2 Soft Black (3.7 months). Since April 2025 he has stayed on the Hayate Otsu V2 line, changing only the variant.

Mouse settings

In Apex Legends he runs 1600 DPI at 0.6 in-game sensitivity. That gives an eDPI of 960 and 43.3 cm/360. A full turn therefore fits within the 49 cm length of his pad.

Per Optic ADS Sensitivity is on. The 1x optic and iron sights use 1.330399, and every other optic from 2x to 10x uses 1. Acceleration is off.

The Viper V4 Pro supports polling up to 8000 Hz, but the in-game Hz value listed in his settings is 1000.

Should you buy Zer0's mouse?

The Viper V4 Pro White is a 49 g wireless ambidextrous mouse, 12.7 cm long, 6.4 cm wide and 4.0 cm high. It suits players who want a low-weight, symmetrical shape of this size. It uses the Focus Pro 30K sensor and Razer Optical Gen-4 switches, and polls at up to 8000 Hz.

Three alternatives are close in shape and size:

• Razer Viper V3 Pro Black: 5 g heavier, with the same length, width and height. Eleven pros use it now. It is the choice if you want the same footprint and don't mind the extra weight.
• ASUS ROG Harpe Ace Extreme: 2 g lighter, with the same length and width and 0.1 cm lower. At 47 g it is the lightest of the four mice compared here, and also the lowest. It ties the Viper V4 Pro on length (12.7 cm) and width (6.4 cm).
• ASUS ROG Harpe Ace 2 Black: 1 g lighter, 0.1 cm shorter and 0.1 cm narrower, with the same height. It is the shortest and narrowest of the four.

The trade-off is small. The Viper V3 Pro costs weight, while the two Harpe Ace models save a gram or two and shift the dimensions by about a millimetre.
