What Mouse Does YEKINDAR Use?

Seven periods, six switches, six different models. The ZOWIE EC2 family runs through most of it: EC2-C, EC2-CW, EC2-DW Glossy and now EC2-DW Black.

The EC2-CW is the only model he came back to. His longest single period was on it, 13.4 months (1.1 years), from January 2023 to March 2024. After a short spell on the Razer Deathadder V3 Pro White, he returned to it in April 2024. Across both periods it adds up to 20.5 months (1.7 years).

The VAXEE E1 Wireless Red was the one long stretch away from ZOWIE, 9.0 months from November 2024 to August 2025. He then moved to the EC2-DW Glossy for 2.9 months before settling on the EC2-DW Black.

The EC2-DW Black is already at 11.3 months, the second-longest period in the table after the EC2-CW's 13.4 months.

Mousepad

He plays on the ZOWIE G-SR III, in use since August 2025 (14.3 months). That is longer than he has used the mouse itself.

It is a cloth pad rated as control, with firm foam and high static and dynamic friction. In practice that means a pad built for stopping and fine corrections rather than long, free glides. The 3.5 mm thickness and stitched edges are standard for this kind of pad.

Before it, the VAXEE PA Black was his base for long stretches, including 12.3 months at the start of his history and 10.1 months right before the G-SR III. The G-SR III is the first change away from VAXEE pads in that time.

Mouse settings

800 DPI at 1.2 in-game sensitivity gives an eDPI of 960 and 43.3 cm per 360° in CS2. That is a full turn across a little under half a metre of pad, which is why the 47 × 39 cm G-SR III gives him plenty of room.

The polling rate is set to 1000 Hz. The EC2-DW supports up to 4000 Hz, so the setting sits below what the mouse can do.

Zoom sensitivity is left at 1.00, and Windows sensitivity is 6.

Should you buy YEKINDAR's mouse?

The EC2-DW Black is available to buy. It is a wireless mouse with an ergonomic shape, 12.3 cm long, 6.5 cm wide and 4.2 cm high, weighing 60 g. It suits players who want a full-size, tall-backed ergonomic body. It is not aimed at those who want an ultralight or compact mouse. It uses the PAW3950 sensor and Huano switches.

The alternatives are very close in size, so the real differences are weight and electronics:

• Lamzu Thorn V2: 5 g lighter, with the same height and a body only 0.1 cm longer and wider. It also offers an 8000 Hz polling rate and optical switches. One pro uses it now.
• Pulsar Xlite V4 Es Medium: 5 g heavier and 0.1 cm taller, shorter and wider by 0.1 cm. It has optical switches and polling up to 8000 Hz. One pro uses it now.
• Razer DeathAdder V3 HyperSpeed: 5 g lighter, and 0.1 cm shorter, narrower and lower. It has Razer optical switches and polling up to 1000 Hz. One pro uses it now.

Choose the Thorn V2 or the DeathAdder V3 HyperSpeed for less weight, or the Xlite V4 Es Medium for slightly more mass and height. The EC2-DW Black sits between them at 60 g.
