What Mouse Does flameZ Use?

The timeline covers 10 periods, 9 switches and 6 different models since September 2022. He started on the VAXEE OUTSET AX Yellow, which he used for 10.7 months until August 2023.

The ZOWIE EC2-CW is the model he keeps coming back to. It has three periods and 2 returns, 19.8 months in total (1.7 years). Its longest stretch, from November 2023 to February 2025, is also his longest single period: 14.6 months (1.2 years).

The VAXEE OUTSET AX Wireless Orange was a short detour in November 2023. It lasted about 15 days, after which he went back to the EC2-CW.

From February 2025 the picture gets busier. He moved to the EC2-DW Black for 4.3 months, went back to the EC2-CW for 2.0 months, then tried the EC2-DW Glossy for about 21 days. The ZOWIE EC1-DW Glossy followed for 1.7 months, and then the EC2-DW Glossy again for 1.5 months.

Since December 2025 he has been on the EC2-DW Black again, now at 10.2 months. Counting his earlier period on it, the Black version adds up to 14.5 months (1.2 years). That puts it in the same range as his best EC2-CW run.

Mousepad

flameZ currently plays on the ASUS ROG Hone Control Ace Vitality Edition. It is a cloth pad with a 4 mm thickness and no stitched edges. He switched to it in October 2026.

Before that, the Xtrfy GP4 was his pad from June 2025 until October 2026, a run of 15.6 months. The GP4 is the pad that appears most often in his history. Earlier stops include the Pulsar x LGG Saturn, the Xtrfy GP5 Vitality Black and the VAXEE PA Black.

The pad measures 49 cm by 42 cm. His 34.6 cm/360 is shorter than either side of it.

Mouse settings

flameZ plays CS2 at 400 DPI with an in-game sensitivity of 3, which gives an eDPI of 1200. At those values a full 360° turn takes 34.6 cm of mouse travel.

The mouse is set to 1000 Hz, while the EC2-DW supports polling rates up to 4000 Hz. His scoped sensitivity multiplier is 1.1, and Windows sensitivity is set to 6.

Should you buy flameZ's mouse?

The ZOWIE EC2-DW Black is a wireless ergonomic mouse at 60 g, measuring 12.3 cm long, 6.5 cm wide and 4.2 cm tall. It suits players who want a mid-sized, low-profile ergonomic shape without much weight. It also offers polling rates up to 4000 Hz.

If that shape fits but you want something different on the spec sheet, three alternatives are close in size. Each is currently used by one pro.

• Lamzu Thorn V2: 5 g lighter, 0.1 cm longer, 0.1 cm wider and the same height. It adds 8000 Hz polling and optical switches.
• Pulsar Xlite V4 Es Medium: 5 g heavier, 0.1 cm shorter, 0.1 cm wider and 0.1 cm taller. It also reaches 8000 Hz and uses optical switches.
• Razer DeathAdder V3 HyperSpeed: 5 g lighter, 0.1 cm shorter, 0.1 cm narrower and 0.1 cm lower. It tops out at 1000 Hz and uses Razer optical switches.

The size differences are all 0.1 cm, so the real trade-offs are weight, polling ceiling and switch type.
