What Mouse Does vsm Use?

vsm's mouse history

The history covers 10 periods on 10 different models, with 9 switches between them. Each model appears in a single period.

The longest stretch is the ZOWIE EC2-CW: 16.7 months (1.4 years), from August 2024 to December 2025. The ZOWIE EC3-CW is next at 10.5 months.

The shortest stints came right after that. The Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2 Magenta lasted about 15 days (December 2025 to January 2026). The Razer DeathAdder V4 Pro White followed for about 21 days.

The ZOWIE EC2-DW Black ran for 4.1 months, until the move to the Logitech G Pro X2 SUPERSTRIKE Lunar Eclipse in June 2026. He has used that mouse since then.

Mousepad

Since February 2026 he has played on the ZOWIE H-SR III, a 50 x 50 cm cloth pad with stitched edges. At 3.5 mm thick, it is rated Control for overall glide.

The friction values describe that feel: static friction of 45.5 and dynamic friction of 2.05. The glide difference between the X and Y axes is 15.4%.

The pad before it was the VAXEE PA Pcute, used for 21.9 months. The change in February 2026 happened in the same month he moved to the ZOWIE EC2-DW Black.

Mouse settings

In CS2 he runs 800 DPI at 1.2 in-game sensitivity. That gives an eDPI of 960 and 43.3 cm/360.

The polling rate in his settings is 1000 Hz. The G Pro X2 SUPERSTRIKE supports rates from 125 Hz up to 8000 Hz, and DPI from 100 to 44000 in steps of 50. His 800 DPI is well inside that range.

Zoom sensitivity is left at 1.

Should you buy vsm's mouse?

The G Pro X2 SUPERSTRIKE is a wireless, ambidextrous mouse. It measures 11.8 cm long, 6.2 cm wide and 3.9 cm high, and weighs 61 g. It has the HERO 2 sensor and Logitech HITS button switches. It can be bought, and it suits players who want a low, symmetrical shape with a light body.

The alternatives share its footprint, so the choice comes down to weight and switches:

• Logitech G Pro X3 SUPERSTRIKE Magenta Eclipse is 2 g lighter, with identical length, width and height. It uses the same HERO 2 sensor and HITS switches, and DPI steps are 100 instead of 50. 8 pros use it now.
• Logitech G Pro X3 SUPERSTRIKE Midnight Black has the same specs as the Magenta Eclipse version: 2 g lighter, same dimensions. 3 pros use it now.
• Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2c Black is 10 g lighter, with the same length, width and height. It swaps HITS for LIGHTFORCE Hybrid switches. 1 pro uses it now.

All three alternatives are lighter than his mouse. All four mice are the same length, width and height, so the choice is about weight, switch type and DPI step size rather than footprint.
