What Mouse Does zombs Use?

zombs's mouse history

Three periods, two switches, two different models. The Logitech G Pro X Superlight is the only model he returned to.

The first Superlight period ran from September 2022 to April 2023 and lasted 7.2 months. That is his longest earlier period. The Logitech G900 followed from April 2023 to May 2023 and lasted about 27 days, his shortest stretch on any mouse.

In May 2023 he went back to the Superlight Black and has used it since. That makes it his longest-used mouse.

Mousepad

zombs plays on the Logitech G640 Original, which he has used since September 2022. It is the same pad he used when the Superlight first became his mouse.

It is a cloth pad with medium overall glide and medium static and dynamic friction, so it is neither especially fast nor especially slow. The foam is firm, the pad is 3 mm thick, and the edges are stitched. At 45.5 cm by 40 cm it gives a fixed amount of surface for his sensitivity.

Mouse settings

zombs runs 400 DPI with an in-game sensitivity of 0.54 in VALORANT, which gives an eDPI of 216. That works out to 60.5 cm/360, so a full turn takes 60.5 cm of mouse travel on the G640.

The polling rate is 1000 Hz, which is among the rates the Superlight supports. Windows sensitivity is set to 6 and Raw Input Buffer is on. Scoped sensitivity is 1.

Should you buy zombs's mouse?

The Superlight Black is a wireless, ambidextrous mouse that weighs 62 g and measures 12.42 cm long, 6.06 cm wide and 3.96 cm high. It uses the HERO sensor and Omron switches. Anyone who wants a low-profile, symmetrical shape in a light wireless body will find it fits. It is the heaviest of the four mice compared here.

The alternatives trade size, weight and internals in different ways:

• Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2 Black is 3 g lighter and identical in length, width and height. It adds a HERO 25K sensor, LIGHTFORCE Hybrid switches and polling up to 2000 Hz. 21 pros use it now.
• Logitech G Pro X2 SUPERSTRIKE Lunar Eclipse is 1 g lighter, 0.62 cm shorter, 0.14 cm wider and 0.06 cm lower. It is the shortest of the four and offers polling up to 8000 Hz with Logitech HITS switches. 40 pros use it now.
• ZOWIE U2-DW Black is 2 g lighter, 0.12 cm shorter, 0.26 cm narrower and 0.16 cm lower. It is the narrowest and lowest of the four. 6 pros use it now.

If you want the exact Superlight shape with less weight, the Superlight 2 keeps the dimensions. If you want a shorter body, look at the SUPERSTRIKE. If you want a narrower, lower body, look at the ZOWIE U2-DW.
