What Mouse Does tarik Use?

Finalmouse ULX Pro Series – Tarik and ULX Prophecy – Tarik vs the standard model

Finalmouse has made two tarik-branded editions of the Ultralight X. The ULX Pro Series – Tarik was announced on 20 April 2024 as a run of 10,000 limited units. The ULX Prophecy – Tarik was released on 7 January 2025 in S, M and Classic. tarik promoted the Prophecy in his own X post on 4 January 2025.

According to Finalmouse's ULX Prophecy – Tarik product page, the Prophecy is a limited collaborative edition of the ULX. What sets it apart is cosmetic: exclusive colours, a UV matte coating and calligraphy artwork on the sides.

Underneath it is the standard ULX carbon-fibre chassis, which Finalmouse lists at 33–38 g and 8000 Hz. The Prophecy is about the finish and the artwork, not a different platform.

tarik's mouse history

Five mice, four switches, and no returns to an earlier model. The ZOWIE EC2 Tyloo (1.6 months) and the Razer DeathAdder V3 Pro Black (10.8 months) came first, followed by the Razer DeathAdder V3 Pro Faker Edition (2.4 months).

The Finalmouse Ultralight X Medium lasted 2.2 months, from December 2023 to February 2024. That is the shortest stint apart from the first one on the list.

The Medium-to-Large move in February 2024 is the last switch. The Ultralight X Large is also his longest period on any mouse: 32.3 months (2.7 years) and counting. The Razer DeathAdder V3 Pro Black is the only other mouse that went past a year, at 10.8 months.

Mousepad

tarik has played on the Finalmouse Horizon since June 2025, which is 16.1 months. It is a hybrid-surface pad without stitched edges, and its 3 mm thickness makes it a fairly thin pad. It comes from the same brand as his mouse.

The pad history is more restless than the mouse history. The longest stretch was the Artisan Ninja FX Zero Soft Black, from May 2023 to October 2024 (17.5 months). Before the Horizon he used the Pulsar x LGG Saturn Pro Black for 6.0 months, from December 2024 to June 2025.

Mouse settings

The two games land almost on top of each other: 34.7 cm/360 in VALORANT and 34.6 cm/360 in CS2. Both use 800 DPI, so the sensitivity values differ (0.471 and 1.50) while the physical distance for a full turn is practically the same.

Both games also run at 1000 Hz polling, even though the mouse supports up to 8000 Hz. Windows sensitivity is 6 in both, and Raw Input Buffer is on in VALORANT.

Should you buy tarik's mouse?

The Ultralight X Large is a wireless, ambidextrous mouse with optical switches. It measures 12.6 cm long and 5.9 cm wide, and weighs 37 g. The symmetrical shell and the large size suit players who want a longer mouse without added weight. Anyone who prefers a more compact mouse should look at the Medium instead.

The alternatives trade off as follows:

• Finalmouse Ultralight X Sakura: same weight, length, width and height as his mouse. It is the pick if the Large's dimensions are what you want.
• Finalmouse Ultralight X Medium: 1 g lighter, 0.47 cm shorter, 0.22 cm narrower and 0.09 cm lower. This is the smaller option, and it is the model tarik used before the Large.
• FinalMouse Starlight X Nightfall: 1 g heavier, 0.2 cm shorter, the same width and 0.1 cm taller. It uses Huano switches and polls at 8000 Hz only.

Anyone who wants the tarik name on the shell can look at the limited ULX Prophecy – Tarik, which adds exclusive colours, a UV matte coating and calligraphy artwork to the standard ULX chassis.
