Pulsar TenZ Signature Edition 2.0 vs the standard model

There is no standard version to compare against. Pulsar has no non-signature model of this mouse, so the Signature Edition 2.0 is TenZ's own line. Pulsar's product page describes the symmetrical shape as designed by TenZ.

The useful comparison is with gen 1. The sensor moves from XS-1 (32K DPI, 750 IPS) to XS-2 (42K DPI, 800 IPS, 70G). The 2.0 comes in two sizes, Mini and Medium. Best Buy's listing also mentions an updated optical switch and about 119% better battery life.

Pulsar's release calendar lists the launch on September 30, 2026, in Black and a limited Misty Blue.

The 8000 Hz polling rate and 47g weight in the spec table are the headline numbers. The sensor upgrade is the main change over gen 1, since the shape idea carries over.

TenZ's mouse history

The history table shows 30 mouse periods since September 2022. Most of 2023 was rotation: the Lamzu Atlantis family, the Endgame Gear XM2we (four separate stints) and the Logitech G Pro X Superlight and Superlight 2 (eight stints between them). Many of these lasted under a month.

Longer stays came later. The Ninjutso Sora V2 Black ran 4.2 months, and the ZOWIE S2-DW Black ran 4.8 months, ending in March 2025.

The Pulsar TenZ Signature Edition then stayed 18.4 months, almost four times longer than any earlier mouse. The switch to the 2.0 came in early October 2026, days after the launch date on Pulsar's release calendar. It is the first change of mouse in 18 months.

Grip

TenZ is listed as a claw grip player. Pulsar's product page says the symmetrical shape was designed by TenZ around his personal grip and recommends it for claw grip.

The shape is ambidextrous with a 4.0 cm height, so the mouse is built around a symmetrical body rather than a sculpted side. The 2.0 also comes in Mini and Medium, which gives some room to match the size to the hand.

Mousepad

TenZ uses the Artisan Ninja FX Zero TenZ, a cloth pad with stitched edges. Its profile is control-oriented: medium static friction, high dynamic friction and an X/Y glide difference of 11.2%. It is a slower, more controlled surface rather than a fast one.

He switched to it in October 2026, the same month as the mouse. Before that he spent 7.8 months on the Artisan Ninja FX Zero XSoft Black. Before that came 23.5 months on the XTEN Control, the longest pad stay in his history. All of these are control-type cloth pads.

Mouse settings

In VALORANT, TenZ runs 1600 DPI at 58.3 cm/360. In CS2 he keeps the same 1600 DPI at 37.1 cm/360, so he covers about 36% less distance for a full turn than in VALORANT. DPI stays fixed at 1600 across all three listed games, and only in-game sensitivity changes.

Marvel Rivals uses separate axes. The vertical sensitivity is about half the horizontal one, which is unusual in this set.

Polling is 2000 Hz in VALORANT and 1000 Hz in CS2 and Marvel Rivals, below the 8000 Hz the mouse supports.

Should you buy TenZ's mouse?

The Signature Edition 2.0 is released and can be bought, in Black and limited Misty Blue. It suits players who want a symmetrical, ambidextrous mouse and play claw grip, which is the grip Pulsar recommends for this shape. The Mini and Medium sizes cover different hand sizes.

Alternatives trade off weight and length:

All three are wireless with 8000 Hz polling and optical switches, so the choice comes down to weight and length.
