What Mouse Does TMB Use?

Mousepad

TMB plays on the Razer Gigantus V2, according to a player-submitted entry on Liquipedia. He has used it since September 2022, the same month he started on the EC3-C.

It is a cloth pad with stitched edges, rated medium for overall glide. Static friction is high and dynamic friction is medium, so the surface gives a clear hold when starting a movement and stays moderate once the mouse is moving. The foam is firm, and at 3 mm the pad is thin enough that the mouse sits close to the desk.

At 45 x 40 cm it is large enough to hold a 57.7 cm/360 sensitivity comfortably.

Mouse settings

TMB runs 800 DPI with 0.9 in-game sensitivity in CS2, which comes to an eDPI of 720 and 57.7 cm per 360° turn.

The 1000 Hz polling rate is the highest setting the EC3-C offers. The other options are 125 and 500 Hz.

Zoom sensitivity is left at 1, and Windows sensitivity is set to 6.

Should you buy TMB's mouse?

The EC3-C is wired and ergonomic. It weighs 70 g and measures 11.92 cm long, 5.96 cm wide and 4.03 cm tall. It suits players who want a mouse of this shape and are happy with a cable. Button force is 101.5 g, with Huano switches.

The alternatives trade off weight, size and connection:

• Glorious Model D- Wireless White: wireless and 3 g lighter, 0.08 cm longer and 0.14 cm wider. Height is the same. It uses the BAMF sensor with 1000 Hz polling.
• VAXEE OUTSET AX Wireless Black: wireless and 3 g heavier, 0.29 cm shorter and 0.24 cm taller, with the same width. Polling goes up to 4000 Hz, and button force is 64 g.
• VAXEE OUTSET AX Yellow: wired like the EC3-C, but 6 g heavier, 0.29 cm shorter and 0.17 cm taller, with the same width. It has the PMW 3389 sensor and 73.5 g button force.

Both VAXEE models are slightly narrower and shorter than the EC3-C. The Glorious is a little longer and wider. Anyone who wants to keep the cable should look at the OUTSET AX Yellow. Anyone moving to wireless has two options, depending on whether they want a lighter or a heavier mouse than the EC3-C.
