What Mouse Does summit1g Use?

summit1g's mouse history

The history covers 5 models and 4 switches, starting in September 2022 with the FinalMouse Air58 Ninja CBR (10.0 months).

The longest period belongs to the Razer Deathadder V3 Pro Black: 28.7 months (2.4 years), from July 2023 to December 2025. Every other model was used for 10.0 months or less.

The Razer Viper V3 Pro Faker Edition followed from December 2025 and lasted 7.5 months. Then came two ZOWIE models in quick succession. The EC2-DW Black ran for about 18 days in July and August 2026, and the EC1-DW Black has been in use since August 2026 (2.6 months so far).

The move from the EC2-DW to the EC1-DW stays within the same ZOWIE wireless line. The EC1-DW is the larger of the two.

Mousepad

summit1g plays on the Kurosun Samurai, a cloth pad with stitched edges, in use since July 2026 (3.2 months).

Before it came the Corsair MM500, which he used from September 2022 to July 2026, or 46.2 months. That is longer than any mouse in his history, so the pad changed far less often than the mouse.

Mouse settings

The 400 DPI setting is the same in every game listed. Only the in-game sensitivity changes, so the cm/360 differs from title to title.

In CS2, 400 DPI at 1.80 gives an eDPI of 720 and 57.7 cm/360. The other listed games with a cm/360 value are Overwatch (69.3 cm), Apex Legends (37.1 cm) and VALORANT (78.7 cm).

The listed polling rate is 500 Hz in every game except Overwatch, which is 1000 Hz. The EC1-DW's sensor supports rates up to 4000 Hz, so the listed values sit well below the ceiling.

Should you buy summit1g's mouse?

The EC1-DW Black is a wireless ergonomic mouse at 63 g, measuring 12.9 cm long, 6.9 cm wide and 4.2 cm tall. It suits players who want a full-size ergonomic shape with a moderate weight and a low profile. It is available to buy.

Alternatives trade off size, weight and polling rate:

• ZOWIE EC2-DW Black: 3 g lighter, 0.6 cm shorter and 0.4 cm narrower, with the same height. The same 4000 Hz-capable sensor makes it the natural pick for a more compact body. 4 pros use it now.
• Razer DeathAdder V3 Pro Faker Edition: the same weight, 0.1 cm shorter, 0.1 cm narrower and 0.2 cm taller. It tops out at 4000 Hz and uses Razer Optical switches.
• Razer DeathAdder V4 Pro Black: 7 g lighter, 0.1 cm shorter, 0.1 cm narrower and 0.2 cm taller. It supports 8000 Hz and uses Razer Optical Gen-4 switches.

Both Razer models are taller than the EC1-DW. The EC2-DW matches its height but is smaller in length and width.
