What Mouse Does Soulfly Use?

Soulfly's mouse history

Five mice, four switches, and no model used twice. He has not gone back to any earlier mouse.

The longest period was the Logitech G Pro X Superlight Black: 30.6 months (2.6 years), from September 2022 to April 2025. The ZOWIE EC2-CW followed for 10.7 months.

After that the changes come faster. The Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2 Black lasted 1.5 months, and the unreleased ZOWIE ZA13-DW Grey lasted 3.2 months. The last two switches stay within Zowie, from the ZA13-DW to the ZA12-DW in July 2026.

Mousepad

Since April 2026 he has played on a Zowie mousepad that is not yet released. The only spec listed is stitched edges.

Each of his last three mouse changes before the ZA12-DW came with a new pad: the Razer Gigantus V2 in April 2025, the SteelSeries QcK Large Black in February 2026, and the Zowie pad in April 2026. The switch to the ZA12-DW in July 2026 did not change the pad.

Mouse settings

In CS2 he plays 800 DPI at 1.4 in-game sensitivity, which gives an eDPI of 1120 and 37.1 cm/360. A full turn takes 37.1 cm of mouse travel.

The polling rate is set to 1000 Hz, although the ZA12-DW supports up to 4000 Hz. Zoom sensitivity is 1 and Windows sensitivity is 6.

Should you buy Soulfly's mouse?

The Zowie ZA12-DW is released and can be bought. It is a wireless ambidextrous mouse weighing 55 g, measuring 12.6 cm long, 6.2 cm wide and 4.1 cm high. It uses the PAW3950 sensor with Huano switches.

Against the listed alternatives, it is the third lightest of four. It is the second shortest and second narrowest, and it is the tallest of the four. That height suits players who want a bit more mouse under the hand and may not suit those after a lower profile.

• Razer Viper V3 Pro Black: 1 g lighter, 0.11 cm longer, 0.19 cm wider and 0.11 cm lower. Its polling rate goes up to 8000 Hz.
• Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2 Black: 4 g heavier, 0.18 cm shorter, 0.14 cm narrower and 0.14 cm lower. It is the shortest and narrowest of the four.
• Razer Viper V4 Pro Black: 6 g lighter, 0.1 cm longer, 0.2 cm wider and 0.1 cm lower. It is the lightest of the four at 49 g and also polls up to 8000 Hz.

If weight matters most, the Viper V4 Pro is the lightest option. If a shorter, narrower body matters most, the Superlight 2 is the closest to that. The ZA12-DW sits between them on weight, length and width.
