What Mouse Does NBK- Use?

NBK-'s mouse history

Four mice across four periods, with three switches in between. Each model was used once, and he has not gone back to any of them.

The run starts in September 2022 with the Xtrfy MZ1 White Rail (4.4 months), then the Xtrfy MZ1 Wireless (2.6 months) from January 2023. The Xtrfy M8 Black followed in April 2023 and lasted 7.1 months, the longest of his earlier periods.

The ZOWIE S2 Divina Blue has been in use since November 2023. It is his longest-used mouse, and it is the only one in the list not made by Xtrfy.

Mousepad

NBK- uses the Pulsar x LGG Saturn Pro Red, a stitched-edge cloth pad, since January 2023. It is listed with a Control glide rating.

Static and dynamic friction are both rated Very Low, so the pad is a slick surface with a slower overall glide character. The X/Y glide difference is 6.72%. At 3.5 mm thick and 49 x 41 cm, it gives the mouse a flat, even surface.

Mouse settings

In CS2 he runs 400 DPI at 1.8 in-game sensitivity, an eDPI of 720 and 57.7 cm/360. That is the figure to use for a like-for-like comparison with your own setup.

VALORANT uses a different split: 800 DPI at 0.36, an eDPI of 288 and 45.4 cm/360. Both games run at 1000 Hz with Windows sensitivity at 6.

The 1000 Hz polling rate matches the S2's maximum listed rate, so the mouse is running at its top setting.

Should you buy NBK-'s mouse?

The ZOWIE S2 Divina Blue is on sale, so it can be bought. It is wired and ambidextrous, at 82 g and 12.2 cm long, 5.9 cm wide and 3.8 cm tall. That low profile suits people who want a flat, compact symmetrical shape without extra bulk.

Three alternatives are close in shape, and each trades something off:

• Endgame Gear XM1R: 12 g lighter and 0.1 cm shorter, with the same width and height. It uses a PMW 3370 sensor and Kailh GM 8.0 switches. It is the lightest of the four mice compared here.
• VAXEE ZYGEN NP-01: 6 g lighter and 0.35 cm shorter, the shortest of the four. Width is the same and it is 0.07 cm taller. It uses Huano switches, like the S2, with a PMW 3389 sensor.
• Corsair M55 RGB Pro: 5 g heavier at 87 g, with the same length. It is 0.3 cm narrower, the narrowest of the four, and 0.1 cm taller. It has Omron switches.

Choose the S2 for the exact shape and weight he uses. Choose the XM1R or NP-01 for less weight, or the M55 for a narrower body.
