karrigan's mouse history
The history runs to 12 periods, 11 switches and 10 different models since September 2022. It is a record of frequent changes rather than long loyalty.
Two models were used twice. The Razer Deathadder V3 Pro Black came first, from February 2023 to November 2023, and again from February 2024 to October 2024. Together that makes 17.0 months (1.4 years), the most time on any one model. The Razer DeathAdder V3 HyperSpeed was used from April 2025 to February 2026 and again from June 2026 to October 2026. Together that makes 13.4 months (1.1 years).
The longest single period was the first HyperSpeed stint, April 2025 to February 2026, at 9.9 months.
The shortest stints were the SteelSeries Prime (about 24 days) and the WLMouse Beast X Max Black (about 15 days). Between February and June 2026 he went through the WLMouse Beast X Max Black, the Corsair Sabre v2 Pro and the HITSCAN Hyperlight Black before returning to the HyperSpeed.
The latest switch was on October 4, 2026, from the DeathAdder V3 HyperSpeed to the Razer Viper V4 Pro Black. That period is about 18 days old. The Viper V3 Pro Black, his mouse from October 2024 to April 2025, was a 6.0-month period.

Mousepad
The current pad is the VAXEE PA ZYGEN, in use since October 2026. It replaced the SteelSeries QcK Heavy Black he had used since June 2026.
The ZYGEN is a cloth pad rated for control glide. Static friction is high and dynamic friction is low, so the surface resists the first push but moves freely once the mouse is gliding. The foam is firm and the pad is 3.5 mm thick. The glide difference between the X and Y axes is 14.8%.
The pad changed in the same month as the mouse. A 49 g mouse on a control-oriented surface is the combination he is now using.

Mouse settings
In CS2 he runs 800 DPI at 1.05 in-game sensitivity. That gives an eDPI of 840 and 49.5 cm/360.
The mouse supports 8000 Hz polling, but the settings list 1000 Hz. Zoom sensitivity is 1, so scoped aim uses the same multiplier as unscoped aim.
The DPI and sensitivity figures are the same as those listed for the Viper V4 Pro Black, so the change of mouse did not come with a change of numbers.

Should you buy karrigan's mouse?
The Viper V4 Pro Black is an ambidextrous, symmetrical wireless mouse. Its footprint is 12.7 cm long and 6.4 cm wide, and it is 4.0 cm tall at 49 g. That suits players who want a low-profile, light mouse without a right-handed contour. The Focus Pro 30K sensor and 8000 Hz polling put it in the top performance tier.
The alternatives trade a few grams and fractions of a centimetre:
- Razer Viper V3 Pro Black: 5 g heavier, with the same length, width and height. It has the Focus Pro 35K Optical Gen-2 sensor. 8 pros use it now.
- ASUS ROG Harpe Ace Extreme: 2 g lighter, with the same length and width and 0.1 cm lower. It uses the ROG AimPoint sensor. 1 pro uses it now.
- ASUS ROG Harpe Ace 2 Black: 1 g lighter, 0.1 cm shorter and 0.1 cm narrower, with the same height. 1 pro uses it now.
Choose the Viper V3 Pro if you want the same shape with a bit more weight. Choose either Harpe Ace if you want a slightly lighter mouse of nearly identical size.
