What Mouse Does skuba Use?

Four mice in four periods, three switches, no model used twice. skuba has not returned to any earlier mouse.

The history starts in March 2026 with the Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2 White, used for about 6 days. He then moved to the Logitech G Pro X2 SUPERSTRIKE Lunar Eclipse. That is the longest period on record at 4.9 months, running from March 2026 to August 2026.

In August 2026 he left Logitech for Pulsar. The Pulsar X2N Crazylight Medium lasted about 27 days. Then came the Pulsar X2 CrazyLight, which he has used since August 2026.

Most of the switching happened in a short window. Two of the four periods are under a month each, and the one long stretch sits in between.

Mousepad

skuba currently uses the ZOWIE H-TR, in use since October 2026. It is a 50 x 50 cm cloth pad with stitched edges and a thickness of 3.5 mm.

The pad history is as busy as the mouse history. He used the Artisan Ninja FX Zero Soft Orange from March 2026 to August 2026, then the ZOWIE G-SR-SE BLUE II from August 2026 to October 2026. The pad changes follow the mouse changes: the first pad swap landed in the same month he moved to Pulsar.

Mouse settings

In VALORANT, skuba runs 800 DPI at 0.25 sensitivity, an eDPI of 200. That works out to 65.3 cm/360, so a full turn takes a little over 65 cm of mouse travel.

Scoped and ADS sensitivity are both at 1. Those zoomed views use the same multiplier as the hip-fire value.

The mouse supports polling up to 8000 Hz, and its DPI range goes up to 32000 in steps of 50. At 800 DPI he uses only a small part of that range.

Should you buy skuba's mouse?

The Pulsar X2 CrazyLight is available to buy. It is a wireless ambidextrous mouse with a symmetrical shape, 12.0 cm long, 6.3 cm wide and 3.8 cm high, weighing 39 g. It uses the XS-1 sensor, optical switches and 8000 Hz polling. It suits players who want a very light wireless mouse with a symmetrical body and optical clicks.

Among the alternatives, each trades off a little weight or size:

• Corsair Sabre v2 Pro: 3 g lighter, 0.1 cm shorter and 0.1 cm narrower, with the same height. It is the lightest and shortest of the four mice compared here. It uses Corsair mechanical switches rather than optical ones and supports polling up to 8000 Hz.
• FinalMouse Starlight Pro: 3 g heavier, 0.2 cm longer and 0.1 cm lower, with the same width. Polling tops out at 1000 Hz, and it uses Kailh GM 8.0 switches.
• WLMouse BEAST X Black: 1 g heavier, 0.2 cm longer, 0.1 cm narrower and 0.1 cm lower. It has optical switches like skuba's mouse, with polling up to 4000 Hz.

The Starlight Pro matches his mouse in width, and the Sabre v2 Pro matches it in height. All three alternatives are wireless and ambidextrous.
