Mouse settings
In Rainbow Six Siege Pengu runs the mouse at 1600 DPI with a 1000 Hz polling rate. Horizontal and vertical sensitivity are identical, so both axes behave the same.
The X2 CrazyLight supports polling up to 8000 Hz, so the 1000 Hz setting sits well below what the mouse can do. 1600 DPI is a moderate value within the sensor's 100-32000 range.
ADS sensitivity is set to Advanced, with a separate value for each magnification. The 2.5x and 3.5x scopes sit almost level at 102 and 103, while 1.0x is lower at 58.

Should you buy Pengu's mouse?
The Pulsar X2 CrazyLight is a 39 g wireless mouse with an ambidextrous shape, optical switches and 8000 Hz polling. Its symmetrical body suits players who want a shape that is not built around one hand. At 12.0 cm long, 6.3 cm wide and 3.8 cm high, it is a compact, low-weight option. It is available to buy.
The alternatives trade off weight, size and internals:
- Corsair Sabre v2 Pro: 3 g lighter, 0.1 cm shorter and 0.1 cm narrower, with the same height. It is the lightest of the four mice compared here. It offers polling up to 8000 Hz and Corsair mechanical switches instead of optical ones.
- FinalMouse Starlight Pro: 3 g heavier, 0.2 cm longer and 0.1 cm lower, with the same width. It tops out at 1000 Hz polling and uses Kailh GM 8.0 switches.
- WLMouse BEAST X Black: 1 g heavier, 0.2 cm longer, 0.1 cm narrower and 0.1 cm lower. It keeps optical switches, but polling tops out at 4000 Hz and it uses the PMW 3395 sensor.
Pick the Corsair if the lowest weight matters most. Pick the FinalMouse or WLMouse if you prefer a slightly longer, lower body and can live with lower maximum polling.
