What Mouse Does nAts Use?

nAts's mouse history

nAts has used five mice since September 2022, with four switches between them. The ZOWIE S2 was the long-running first entry at 16.4 months (1.4 years).

2024 was the busy year. The Alienware Pro Wireless Gaming Mouse lasted 2.6 months from January, and the ZOWIE U2 followed for just 1.6 months. The ZOWIE EC2-CW then ran from May 2024 to February 2025, 8.2 months.

The ZOWIE U2-DW Black ended that run of changes. At 20.5 months (1.7 years) and counting, it is already his longest period on any mouse, longer than the S2.

Mousepad

nAts uses the ZOWIE H-SR III, in use since March 2025 (18.9 months). It is a 50 x 50 cm cloth pad, 3.5 mm thick, with stitched edges.

The measured glide is Control. Static friction is 45.5 and dynamic friction is 2.05. The glide difference between the X and Y axes is 15.4%.

Before it came the ZOWIE G-SR (September 2022 to May 2024), the VAXEE PA Black (May 2024 to February 2025) and the Zowie G-SR II (February to March 2025).

Mouse settings

In VALORANT, nAts runs 800 DPI at 0.49 sensitivity, which gives an eDPI of 392. That works out to 33.3 cm/360.

Polling is set to 1000 Hz, although the U2-DW Black supports up to 4000 Hz. Raw Input Buffer is off, and Windows sensitivity is at 6.

Should you buy nAts's mouse?

The ZOWIE U2-DW Black is a wireless, ambidextrous mouse. It measures 12.3 cm long, 5.8 cm wide and 3.8 cm tall, and weighs 60 g. It uses a PAW3950 sensor and Huano button switches, with polling up to 4000 Hz. It suits players who want a light, low and fairly compact symmetrical shape.

It is on sale, and there are three close alternatives:

• ZOWIE U2-DW Glossy: the same sensor, switches and dimensions, and the same weight. The only difference is the surface finish. 1 pro uses it now.
• Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2 Black: 1 g lighter, 0.12 cm longer, 0.26 cm wider and 0.16 cm taller. It has a HERO 25K sensor and LIGHTFORCE Hybrid switches. 10 pros use it now.
• Logitech G Pro X Superlight Black: 2 g heavier, 0.12 cm longer, 0.26 cm wider and 0.16 cm taller. It has a HERO sensor and Omron switches. 5 pros use it now.

Both Logitech models are slightly larger in every dimension. Choose the Superlight 2 for the lowest weight of the three, or the original Superlight if the Omron switches matter more to you than the extra 2 g. The Glossy is the pick if you want the same mouse with a different finish.
