What Mouse Does taskmast33r Use?

taskmast33r's mouse history

The history covers five periods, five different models and four switches. He has not returned to any earlier model.

The FinalMouse Starlight-12 is his longest-used mouse, and he has used it since June 2025. The longest earlier period belongs to the WLMouse BEAST X Mini Black: 11.3 months, from May 2024 to April 2025.

The most recent switch was from the Lamzu Maya X Black to the Starlight-12 in June 2025. The Maya X Black lasted 2.0 months.

The first three mice in the table, the Xtrfy M42 Wireless, G-Wolves Hati S and BEAST X Mini Black, ran for 5.3, 6.0 and 11.3 months, and each period was longer than the one before it.

Mousepad

Since June 2025 he has played on the Artisan Hayate Otsu V2 Soft Black. It is a cloth pad with stitched edges and a medium overall glide. It is 4 mm thick and measures 49 x 40 cm.

The pad changed in the same month as the mouse. Before it he used the Artisan Key-83 XSoft, from April 2025 to June 2025.

Mouse settings

His Apex Legends sensitivity works out to 37.1 cm/360, which is 37.1 cm of mouse travel for a full turn. That comes from 800 DPI and 1.4 in-game sensitivity, an eDPI of 1120.

The ADS multiplier is 1 and per-optic ADS sensitivity is off, so every scope follows the same base setting. Acceleration is off. The 1000 Hz polling rate matches the maximum polling rate of the Starlight-12.

Should you buy taskmast33r's mouse?

The Starlight-12 is an ambidextrous wireless mouse that weighs 45 g. At 11.5 cm long, 3.5 cm wide and 2.3 cm high, it is the narrowest and lowest of the mice compared here. It suits players who want a very low, narrow, light mouse. It uses the Finalsensor and Kailh GM 8.0 switches.

The alternatives each give something up:

• Finalmouse Ultralight 2: 8 g heavier, 0.1 cm longer, 1.8 cm wider and 1.4 cm taller. It is wired, with a 500 Hz polling rate and a PMW 3360 sensor. Three pros use it now.
• Xtrfy MZ1 Wireless: 17 g heavier, 0.38 cm shorter, 1.75 cm wider and 1.35 cm taller. It is wireless and offers 125, 500 and 1000 Hz polling. It also uses Kailh GM 8.0 switches, like the Starlight-12.
• WLMouse BEAST X Mini Black: 11 g lighter, 0.1 cm longer, 2.3 cm wider and 1.2 cm taller. It is wireless with optical switches and polling of up to 8000 Hz. It is the mouse he used from May 2024 to April 2025.

The Starlight-12 is the better pick if low height and narrow width matter most. The BEAST X Mini Black is the pick if the lowest weight and higher polling matter more. The MZ1 Wireless and Ultralight 2 are heavier, wider and taller.
