What Mouse Does Smoggy Use?

Smoggy's mouse history

Smoggy's mouse history runs through five periods and four switches, starting in May 2023 with the Logitech G Pro X Superlight Black. In October 2023 he moved to the Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2 Black.

April 2024 brought the move from Logitech to Razer, with the Viper V3 Pro Green. It became his longest period: April 2024 to March 2026, 22.7 months (1.9 years).

The Razer Viper V4 Pro White followed in March 2026 and lasted 7.0 months. Since September 2026 he has used the Razer Prototype Mouse (Unreleased).

Every model in the table has a single period. The two Logitech periods are the shortest, at 5.0 and 5.4 months.

Mousepad

Smoggy plays on the Artisan Type-99 Matcha, in use since June 2024. It is a stitched-edge cloth pad, 4 mm thick, measuring 49 cm by 42 cm.

It is rated Control for overall glide, with very high static and very high dynamic friction. The glide difference between the X and Y axes is 10.3%.

Before it he used the Artisan Ninja FX Zero Soft Black from May 2023 to April 2024. The Artisan Ninja FX Zero Mid Orange followed from April to June 2024.

Mouse settings

In VALORANT Smoggy runs 800 DPI at 0.31 in-game sensitivity. That gives an eDPI of 248.00 and 52.7 cm/360.

The polling rate is set to 2000 Hz. Windows sensitivity is at 6 and Raw Input Buffer is on.

Scoped sensitivity is 1 and ADS sensitivity is 1.02, as shown in the table.

Should you buy Smoggy's mouse?

The Razer Prototype Mouse (Unreleased) cannot be bought. The model to buy instead is his previous main mouse, the Razer Viper V4 Pro White. It is a wireless ambidextrous mouse at 49 g and 12.7 cm long, with an 8000 Hz polling rate.

Its ambidextrous shape suits users who want a symmetrical mouse, and it is 6.4 cm wide and 4.0 cm high.

The alternatives are all wireless, ambidextrous and 8000 Hz, so they trade off mainly weight and small differences in dimensions:

• Razer Viper V3 Pro Black: 5 g heavier than the Viper V4 Pro White, with the same length, width and height. 11 pros use it now.
• ASUS ROG Harpe Ace Extreme: 2 g lighter and 0.1 cm lower, with the same length and width. At 47 g it is the lightest mouse in this comparison.
• ASUS ROG Harpe Ace 2 Black: 1 g lighter, 0.1 cm shorter and 0.1 cm narrower, with the same height. It is the shortest and narrowest of the four in this comparison.
