Mousepad
Sceptic pairs the mouse with the ESPTIGER LongTeng, a cloth pad he has used since September 2022.
The pad measures 48 × 40 cm and is 4 mm thick. Its stitched edges keep the cloth from fraying at the borders. The cloth surface and the 4 mm thickness are what define how it feels under a 53 g mouse.
Mouse settings
X and Y sensitivity are both set to 8.5%, so horizontal and vertical movement run at the same speed. That setting sits on top of 800 DPI.
Targeting and Scope sensitivity are both 50.0%. These are multipliers of the X/Y value, so aiming down sights or through a scope runs at half the base speed. They are not separate sensitivities.

Should you buy Sceptic's mouse?
The Ultralight 2 is available to buy. It is an ambidextrous, wired mouse at 53 g, measuring 11.6 cm long, 5.3 cm wide and 3.7 cm tall. It suits players who want a light, narrow, symmetrical shape and are happy with a cable.
The alternatives trade weight and width for other features:
- VAXEE ZYGEN NP-01S V2 Wireless Red: the lightest of the three alternatives, 3 g heavier than the Ultralight 2. It is 0.4 cm wider and the same height. It is wireless, with polling up to 4000 Hz.
- VAXEE NP-01S V3 Deep Purple: 4 g heavier, 0.2 cm longer and 0.4 cm wider, at the same height. It is wireless, with polling up to 8000 Hz.
- Razer Viper Mini: the narrowest of the alternatives at 5.38 cm, only 0.08 cm wider than the Ultralight 2. It is 8 g heavier, 0.23 cm longer and 0.13 cm taller. It is wired and offers 125, 500 or 1000 Hz polling.
Staying close to the Ultralight 2 in feel points to the Viper Mini for width or the ZYGEN for weight. Going wireless means one of the two VAXEE models.
