What Mouse Does Sommerset Use?

The history has two periods, two models and one switch. The first period, the Logitech G Pro X Superlight Magenta, ran 33.0 months (2.8 years) and is the longest in the history.

In June 2025 the Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2 Magenta took over. The line and the Magenta colour stayed the same, and the move was from the original model to its successor. Neither model has been returned to.

The current mouse is rated for a 2000 Hz polling rate and uses LIGHTFORCE Hybrid button switches. It weighs 59 g.

Mousepad

The 4114 Fragment Aero has been in use since June 2025, the same month as the Superlight 2.

It is rated Speed for overall glide. The material is a hybrid, and the edges are stitched. At 4 mm it is the thickness to expect from a pad of this size, and the 53 × 49 cm surface is what the mouse glides across.

Mouse settings

In Fortnite the mouse runs at 800 DPI with a 1000 Hz polling rate. The Superlight 2 supports up to 2000 Hz, so the polling rate in use is below the hardware maximum.

X and Y sensitivity are both 6.4%, so horizontal and vertical movement are matched.

Targeting sensitivity (45.9%) and scope sensitivity (50.1%) are multipliers applied on top of the X/Y value. Both are below 100%, so aiming down sights and scoping are slower than the base speed.

Should you buy Sommerset's mouse?

The Superlight 2 is an ambidextrous shape: 12.42 cm long, 6.06 cm wide and 3.96 cm high. It is wireless and weighs 59 g. It suits players who want a low-weight, symmetrical mouse with a moderate footprint. It is available to buy.

The alternatives trade off as follows:

• Logitech G Pro X Superlight Black: the same length, width and height, but 3 g heavier. It uses Omron switches, and its polling rate tops out at 1000 Hz.
• ZOWIE U2-DW Black: 1 g heavier, 0.12 cm shorter, 0.26 cm narrower and 0.16 cm lower. This is the smallest of the group in length and width. It supports polling rates up to 4000 Hz.
• Razer Viper V2 Pro Black: the same 59 g, so it ties with the Superlight 2 as the lightest in this group. It is 0.15 cm longer, 0.08 cm wider and 0.19 cm lower, and supports up to 4000 Hz.

If the Superlight 2 shape fits, stay with it. For a smaller footprint, look at the ZOWIE. For the same weight with a lower profile, look at the Viper V2 Pro.
