What Mouse Does mL7 Use?

mL7's mouse history

mL7's history has two periods and one switch. The two periods are on two different models, and he has not gone back to either.

The Razer DeathAdder Essential ran from October 2022 to November 2025: 36.8 months (3.1 years). That is his longest period. In November 2025 he moved to the Razer Deathadder V3 Pro Black, which he has used since then.

Both mice carry the DeathAdder name, so the switch changes the model generation rather than the product line.

Mousepad

mL7 has played on the Corsair MM500 since October 2022. It is a cloth pad with stitched edges. At 3 mm, it is the thickness listed in the table.

The pad was already in place when he used the DeathAdder Essential. It has stayed under the mouse through the switch to the V3 Pro.

Mouse settings

In Overwatch, mL7 runs 800 DPI at 6.9 sensitivity. That works out to 25.1 cm/360, meaning the mouse travels 25.1 cm for a full turn. Zoom sensitivity is set to 50.

The polling rate in his settings is 1000 Hz. The V3 Pro Black also offers 125, 500 and 4000 Hz, so his setting is not the sensor's ceiling. The sensor is the Focus Pro 30K, with DPI available up to 30000 in steps of 50.

Should you buy mL7's mouse?

The Razer Deathadder V3 Pro Black is available to buy. It is a wireless ergonomic mouse at 63 g, measuring 12.95 cm long, 6.13 cm wide and 4.21 cm high. Its buttons use Razer Optical switches with an 81 g button force. It suits players who want an ergonomic shape with a wireless connection and a polling rate of up to 4000 Hz.

Among the alternatives, size and weight are the main trade-offs:

• ZOWIE EC2-DW Black: 3 g lighter, 0.65 cm shorter and 0.37 cm wider, with the same height. Six pros use it now. It polls up to 4000 Hz, like the V3 Pro, and adds 250 and 2000 Hz steps.
• ZOWIE EC1-DW Black: the same weight, 0.05 cm shorter and 0.77 cm wider, with the same height. One pro uses it now.
• Pulsar Xlite V2 Wireless: 4 g lighter, 0.71 cm shorter and 0.21 cm narrower, with a height 0.05 cm taller. One pro uses it now. Its polling tops out at 1000 Hz.

Of the four mice compared, the Pulsar is the lightest and narrowest. The V3 Pro Black is the longest of the four. The EC1-DW matches it on weight, and its extra width is the main difference.
