What Mouse Does Surefour Use?

Surefour's mouse history

Surefour has used three different mice across three periods, with two switches between them. He has not gone back to any earlier model.

The Logitech G400S ran from September 2022 to September 2024, a total of 23.8 months (2.0 years). The Pulsar X2 followed and ran until September 2025. At 26.0 months (2.2 years), it is his longest period on record.

In September 2025 he moved to the Logitech G403 HERO, which is the mouse he uses now.

Mousepad

Surefour's pad is the Artisan Ninja FX Shidenkai XSoft Black, in use since September 2024. It is a cloth pad, 3 mm thick, with stitched edges. At 42 × 33 cm, it gives the mouse a surface of that size.

The pad changed in the same month as the mouse, September 2024. Before that he used the Razer Goliathus Speed Cosmic, starting in September 2022.

Mouse settings

In Deadlock he runs 1600 DPI with in-game sensitivity 0.5, which gives an eDPI of 800. The mouse reports at 500 Hz.

His Overwatch settings use the same 1600 DPI and 500 Hz, and work out to 25.7 cm/360.

The G403 HERO offers polling rates of 125, 250, 500 and 1000 Hz, so 500 Hz is a middle setting on this mouse. Its sensor covers 100 to 25600 DPI in steps of 100, which leaves plenty of room around 1600.

Should you buy Surefour's mouse?

The G403 HERO is an ergonomic, wired mouse with Omron switches. It weighs 87 g and measures 12.4 cm long, 6.8 cm wide and 4.3 cm tall. It suits players who want a full-length ergonomic shape and don't need wireless. Within the group compared here, it is the widest of the four mice.

The alternatives trade off weight, size and connection:

• ZOWIE EC2-A: 5 g heavier, 0.4 cm shorter, 0.2 cm narrower and 0.3 cm lower. It is the shortest and lowest of the four, so it suits a more compact ergonomic shape. It is wired, with polling rates of 125, 500 and 1000 Hz.
• Pulsar Xlite V3 Es Black: 22 g lighter, 0.2 cm shorter and 0.1 cm narrower, with the same height. It is the lightest of the four and is wireless, with 4000 and 8000 Hz polling. It suits players who want less weight and a cable-free mouse.
• ZOWIE EC1 Tyloo: 10 g heavier, 0.4 cm longer and 0.4 cm narrower, with the same height. It is the heaviest and longest of the four and the narrowest. It is wired and polls at 1000 Hz.
