Why Faker chose the Razer Viper V3 Pro Faker Edition, in Faker's words
The one reason on record comes from Faker himself, in Razer's press release for the Faker Edition from February 2025:
Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok, T1 mid laner (player), Razer unveils the Viper V3 Pro Faker edition (reprint of Razer press release), 20 February 2025What I love most since transitioning to the Razer Viper V3 Pro is how comfortable it is even after using it for a long time.
The quote is about the standard Viper V3 Pro, the base of the Faker Edition. It looks back on his move to the Viper before Worlds 2024.
His stated priority is comfort over long sessions, not a spec. The Viper is a 54 g ambidextrous mouse, and that makes a low-fatigue shape plausible.
Razer Viper V3 Pro Faker Edition vs the standard model
The Faker Edition is the standard Viper V3 Pro with a different finish. It has a crimson body with black buttons, an "Unkillable Demon King" design and Faker's signature on the right button.
The hardware is unchanged. Weight stays at 54 g, so the edition costs nothing in performance terms.
It also ships pre-set to Faker's profile of 1800 DPI and 1000 Hz, according to Razer's launch announcement. That is a factory profile. The sensor and polling rate in the table go well beyond it.
Faker's mouse history
Faker's mouse history since February 2023 has two distinct phases. The Razer DeathAdder V2 Pro lasted 20.1 months, by far the longest stretch of the early period.
From October 2024 to June 2025 he changed mouse four times in about eight months: Viper V3 Pro White, DeathAdder V3 Pro Faker Edition, Viper V3 Pro Faker Edition, then back to the DeathAdder edition.
That return settled for 16.2 months, from June 2025 to October 2026. Razer's Worlds 2026 announcement then lists him on the Viper V3 Pro Faker Edition. He has gone back and forth between the same two Razer lines rather than moving to a different brand.

Mousepad
Faker has used two Razer cloth pads in this period. The Goliathus Control ran for 28.4 months, until June 2025. That is the same month he went back to the DeathAdder, and he has used the Gigantus V2 since.
The Gigantus V2 is a medium-glide pad with high static friction. Starting a movement takes a little more force than on a fast pad, which favours stopping control over raw speed. The 3 mm thickness and firm foam keep the surface stable.

Mouse settings
The settings are for League of Legends. Mouse speed and camera move speed are both set to 65, so the two values stay matched.
The mouse supports 8000 Hz polling and a high-end optical sensor, but the table shows the settings he actually runs in game.

Should you buy Faker's mouse?
The Viper V3 Pro Faker Edition is a released product and can be bought. Its shape is ambidextrous, low and light. It suits players who prefer a symmetrical, flat mouse and want weight as low as possible. It is a poorer fit for players who want a pronounced hump to fill the palm.
The alternatives trade weight and height for an ergonomic shape:
- Razer DeathAdder V4 Pro: the closest step to the DeathAdder line Faker used for 16 months. It is 2 g heavier and noticeably taller, with a newer 45K sensor and 8000 Hz polling.
- ZOWIE EC1-DW: an ergonomic shape at 63 g. Polling tops out at 4000 Hz.
- Pulsar Xlite V3 ES: a 65 g ergonomic mouse that offers both 4000 and 8000 Hz.
All three are heavier than the Viper, so the lightest build is the main thing you give up.
